Will pre-orders be allocated?Updated 7 months ago
Pre-orders are a common way to secure highly anticipated products in the trading card industry. At The Card Vault, we’ve been trading for years and have robust processes in place to minimize the risk of allocations.
Our years of experience and carefully managed relationships with distributors help us mitigate the likelihood of allocations. However, allocations can still happen. They are usually completely unexpected and will impact all retailers.
What Is an Allocation?
An allocation occurs when demand for a product exceeds the quantity our distributors can supply, resulting in fewer items being delivered to us than we initially ordered.
How We Handle Allocations
While allocations are extremely rare at The Card Vault, here’s what we do to manage them if they arise:
- Transparency: We’ll notify affected customers immediately about the situation.
- Fair Solutions: Options include but are not limited to:
- Offering a full refund.
- Providing store credit or vouchers as compensation.
- Working to secure additional stock where possible.
Our Commitment
We do everything possible to ensure pre-orders are fulfilled without any issues. Allocations are a last resort; we always prioritize fairness and customer satisfaction when handling them.
